The Salesians of Don Bosco in Brunswick
The Don Bosco Youth Centre and Hostel, Brunswick was opened in 1939. Today the Hostel provides full accommodation and meals for some 36 young men between the ages of 17 and 24, who are doing Apprenticeships or Studies. We keep a number of places for youth from troubled family backgrounds and other special circumstances.
The Youth Centre provides a safe and caring place for young people to come with their friends. There is a very wide range of recreational equipment and facilities, including in-ground-trampolines, table tennis, air hockey, billiards, table soccer, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and a swimming pool. We run our After School, Weekend and Holiday Programs free of charge to the local Teenagers and Children. Any School or Community Youth Group can hire our facilities.
Brunswick is an exciting mix of cultures and religions. Everyone is welcomed at the Don Bosco Youth Centre, regardless of ethnic background or religion. Our Philosophy is summed up in our two mottos:
